Security

Last Updated: May 10, 2026

Security is a core pillar of ClearComments. We ensure that our extension is safe to use and protects your digital environment.

1. Local-Only Processing

ClearComments does not transmit your data to external servers. All comment analysis, filtering, and ranking happen locally within your browser's sandbox. This eliminates the risk of data interception during transit.

2. Minimal Permissions

We only request the minimum permissions necessary to function: access to the YouTube domain to read and reorganize comments. We do not ask for access to your Google account, private data, or other websites.

3. Regular Audits

Our code is regularly reviewed for vulnerabilities. We ensure that we use secure coding practices to prevent Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) or other common web vulnerabilities.

4. No Executable Code Injection

ClearComments does not inject external scripts into your pages. All logic is bundled within the extension itself, ensuring that you are always running the verified code from the official store.

5. Reporting Vulnerabilities

If you discover a security vulnerability in ClearComments, please report it to se.jaimin91@gmail.com. We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly.
