ClearComments stores anonymous usage statistics (such as the number of comments filtered and estimated time saved) locally on your device using Chrome's Storage API. This data is used only to display your personal impact in the extension popup and is never transmitted to our servers.

• No Personal Identification: We do not track your name, email, or identity.
• Local Processing: Comment filtering and ranking happen entirely on your device.
• No Tracking: We do not track your browsing history or YouTube activity outside of the comment sections you actively view.

2. How We Use Information

The only data processed by ClearComments is the content of the YouTube comments you are currently viewing. This is used solely to:

• Identify spam and low-effort replies.
• Highlight high-quality "Gem" comments.
• Detect verified creator activity and timestamps.

3. Third-Party Services

ClearComments does not share data with any third-party services. All filtering logic is contained within the extension itself.

4. Your Controls

You can disable or remove the ClearComments extension at any time through your browser's extension management page. Doing so immediately stops all comment processing.
